Sweet Rice Malt Ice Cream Tsukihaze Sweet Rice Malt
Tsukihaze Amakoji is ice cream that is crafted free of sugar and 28 kinds of allergens—for people who are particular about their food. We make our ice cream using wholesome amounts of amakoji (also used for making amazake), specially prepared for the ice cream at the "Takashima Shuzo" sake brewery in Numazu, Shizuoka. We bring the aroma, flavor, and richness of amakoji in the form of ice cream. And despite being made of ice, the plant-based rice bran oil enriches it with a creamy, smooth mouthfeel like that of ice cream. "Tsukihaze" is a variety of koji used to brew sake, such as Daiginjo sake. We use twice as much of the usual amount of this koji to craft Tsukihaze Amakoji. You get to enjoy the aromas, flavors, and richness of amakoji—straight from the ice cream. It has the same taste as amakoji, and yet fascinatingly, even if you are not fond of amazake, you will find it delicious.
